Western Australia has a long and proud tradition of public schools providing high quality education in every community. We open our doors to all children – whatever their ability, wherever they live and whatever their background. East Kalgoorlie Primary School is one of the leading public schools in Western Australia for their innovative approach to Early Childhood education. We not only accept enrolments from families within our intake area but we are able, depending upon capacity and class sizes, to enrol students from outside our catchment. For further clarification or enrolment forms, please contact our office.
Non Compulsory Schooling
The school offers a play and learn initiative known as KindiLink for three year old children attending with a parent/carer and younger siblings may also attend.
There is a Pre-Kindy class for Aboriginal children who are turning four after July within the current school year. This program is a stepping stone for students who are then going into kindergarten the following year.
Applications for all Government Schools for Kindergarten can be made the year prior to their eligibility and applications usually close at the end of July. Applications received after the closing date may be placed on a waiting list. The Pre-Kindy program has limited places and preference will be given to families that have attended the KindiLink program.
Pre-primary – Year 6: applications can be made the year prior to your request for attendance or at any time if you are residing in the intake area. All students of compulsory schooling age residing in the intake area will be accepted.
